Privacy policy
Gadget Daily News collects very little: standard web server logs, kept for about 14 days. We set no cookies for visitors, run no analytics and show no ads. Last updated October 20, 2026.
What we collect when you visit
Our web server keeps a standard access log of each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the address of the page that sent you (if your browser shares it), and your browser’s user-agent string. We use these logs to keep the site running and secure and to diagnose errors.
Logs are rotated daily and kept for 14 days, then deleted.
Cookies
We don’t set cookies for visitors. Only administrators who sign in to manage the site receive login cookies.
Analytics and advertising
We don’t use analytics tools, tracking pixels or advertising networks. Fonts are served from our own server, so reading the site doesn’t contact Google Fonts or other font services.
If we add advertising in the future, we’ll update this policy first and explain what the ad provider collects. See how we make money.
If you email us at albert@gadgetdailynews.com, your message passes through Forward Email, a forwarding service, to our inbox. We use your email only to reply, and we don’t add you to any mailing list.
Where data is processed
The site is hosted on DigitalOcean servers in New York, United States. Email forwarding is handled by Forward Email.
Search engines
When we publish or update an article, we may notify search engines (through the IndexNow protocol) that the page changed. This sends the page address, not any information about visitors.
Your choices and rights
Because we don’t run accounts, newsletters or tracking, we hold no profile about you. To ask about server log data relating to your IP address, or to ask us to delete an email conversation, write to albert@gadgetdailynews.com. Depending on where you live, laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act may give you further rights; contact us and we’ll help.
Children
The site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
